Jamie Bell had been dancing since he was 6 years old.  He got the "dancing bug" when he followed his older sister to her dancing lessons and decided that he's "just gotta dance!"  At 13 years old Jamie was discovered after a talent search of over 2,000 children, and was chosen to play the lead role in the critically acclaimed movie "Billy Elliot" (2000).  Having to take some share of ribbing from his friends for being a boy ballet dancer, Jamie was now able to proudly strut his stuff.  His face is said to "turn joyous when he dances."  Together with that and his great acting ability, Jamie scored several other acting roles - even without dancing.
